Gliding on Air
Hovering is the act of remaining in one place in the air. Hovering in aircraft is difficult and it requires a great deal of pilot expertise.
Hovercrafts use pressurized air to glide smoothly over land or water. The pressurized air reduces the friction between the vehicle and the terrain. Hovercrafts are used in search and rescue efforts and to train astronauts for space missions.
Can you make a model of a simple hovercraft?
