Summer School for Math and Science

Registration Deadline: May, 22, 2020

GYSTC is offering a free virtual summer school program to the following counties in Southwest Georgia: Talbot, Dooly, Crisp, Sumter, Webster, Stewart, Quitman, Randolph, Clay, Terrell, Dougherty, Calhoun, Early, Baker, Miller, Mitchell, Grady, Decatur, Seminole, Thomas.

This summer school program allows a refresher of math and science materials missed during the time of absence, due to Covid-19. The sessions will run as follows:

Every Monday & Wednesday: June 1, 2020 - July 10, 2020

Third Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

Fourth Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

Fifth Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

Every Tuesday & Thursday: June 1, 2020 - July 10, 2020

Sixth Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

Seventh Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

Eighth Grade

9:00 a.m. – Science

10:00 a.m. – Math

GYSTC will provide an instructor per grade level and per subject. Each session will last 45 – 50 minutes with a 10-minute break before the next session starts. Sessions will include standards-based, hands-on learning. Students with no internet access will receive a packet of activities to complete at home. The activities will be provided on a jump drive and in print.
